The cable car to the island

This is just one of two floors worth of queues at the cable car station. It seems utterly insane that there could ever be this many visitors.

Once you arrive on the island there's a huge district full of streets like this.

So much space with so little happening.

Waiting for the alpine coaster

This was our second alpine coaster in four days and for the second time it was spoiled a bit by people in front of us going so slowly that it was just a crawl behind them all the way down the hill.

Today we went to a theme park called VinWonders on a island of the coast of Nha Trang. It was a fun day with nice weather and no crowds.

The park is a bit of a strange place seemingly built to handle enormous numbers of visitors but not having all that much to do. Access is via a cable car over the sea, or by ferry, and the cable car terminal has two huge floors filled with queues. It's the same story when you arrive on the island with everything being weirdly spacious. The rides on the other hand are few in number are seem as though they wouldn't be able to handle many visitors before the queues became excessive. We waited for over an hour to ride the alpine coaster and there wasn't really that much of a queue. If the park does get as busy as all of the entry infrastructure seems to suggest then it feels like the actual attractions would be completely overloaded.

There is also a decent sized water park and beach, a zoo, an aquirium, and gardens.

It was a fun day out but we were very lucky that it was so quiet!
